It's been far too long since my last post. So many things have changed and happened in the past 2.5 years! New jobs, moving, school starting and stopping, illnesses, deaths, struggles, tantrums, parties, new life. In 2012, we welcomed a third child to our family. She has been a beautiful blessing to us.
The one thing that hasn't changed is God's faithfulness. He is with us every step of the way. We may fall away or wander at times, but He gently leads us back like the shepherd gathers the lost sheep. We praise Him in the good times and we cling to Him in the bad. Joyous times lift our spirits, but trying times draw us near to Him and remind us Who is in control.
All around us we see hurting people. More than ever I am aware of how damaged this world is by sin. Sin isn't just something bad we have done. It's something that has infected every aspect of life. We weren't created for death or illness or tears or emptiness. We were created for a loving personal relationship with God Himself. I don't want anything else but that! I don't want my own way. I want to live for God and with God forever! That's why I know it is time for me to refocus on this blog. No one may ever read it. Maybe only one person will. That's fine. As long as I am glorifying Him I know I am doing my part!
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name." Hebrews 13:15
