Don't babies have the cutest hair? Nick lovingly refers to Rowan's mohawk as a "Row-hawk" and we think that suits her just fine. In a few months she'll probably sprout a whole head of hair, much like big brother did when he was younger.
My mom, the kids, and I went to Sweet Tomatoes with my aunt Ranae, cousin Angela, and her son Elijah for lunch earlier today. It was delicious! Sweet Tomatoes is a great place to take the finicky toddler. Hudson, who normally loves food, has been very choosy about what he eats recently. We suspect that he is teething again. In any case, he thoroughly enjoyed his lunch today! He had everything from peas to pizza. The mac and cheese and ice cream topped the list, of course.
I'm so relieved that all of the kids were content for most of the lunch. We love seeing them interact with each other. The last couple times we've had them together Eli seems to enjoy reaching out to Rowan. He gives her the sweetest smiles and nicest little pats on the cheek. They are only 3 months apart, so Ange and I are excited to see them play more together as they get older. We hope they have as much fun as we did growing up!
I'm also very excited that Nick is coming to town tomorrow! It's been 3 weeks since I left Tucson and I've missed him so much. He spent this last week in Virginia for a class he needed to take prior to his next deployment. The last couple of months have been hectic. That's why we're both looking forward to vacationing here in Colorado for the next 2 weeks. We have lots of fun things planned! But the best part of all will be having our family back together again. Nick is the all star player on our team!
