Enjoying the Grand Californian

We started down the road today asking Hudson where we were headed. His reply was, "Mickey's house!" For the past 3 months we told him repeatedly that Daddy would be home soon and then we would all go to Mickey's house. Well, that day is finally upon us!

We got to the hotel this afternoon, settled into our rooms, and headed down to the Storyteller's Cafe for an early dinner. The buffet looked amazing! There was teriyaki salmon, tri-color rotini, garlic mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, mac and cheese for the kids, and, best of all, a delicious selection of desserts! Hudson had fun feeding Nick bites of the lemon tarte!

I, of course, stuck to the cheesecake bites and chocolate torte! "Num num" as the kids say! ;-)

After dinner we played in one of the outdoor courtyards. Nick had fun chasing the kids around and I enjoyed every second of watching it and snapping pictures. It's hard to explain the feeling inside when you haven't witnessed something so natural, yet also so beautiful in a long time. It's just overwhelmingly fulfilling.

That's how I'm feeling these days: fulfilled. I have everything I have ever wanted right in my hands. My children are healthy, my husband is home, and we are full of love and appreciation for one another. The dream of bringing my own little family to Disneyland for the first time is just the icing on the cake!
