Easter weekend started out with lots of cleaning and laundry. As I cleaned, I spent time thinking about Christ's death on the cross, especially while I scrubbed down the dirty bathrooms (we have 3). This may sound peculiar, but allow me to explain. Bathrooms are just gross. The toilet is icky, the sink has residue, and the floor has an accumulation of hair and dust. It's quite a mess. Likewise, our sins make us quite a mess. And while the bathroom will have to be cleaned over and over, Christ died for my sins once and for all. He overcame the power of the grave and rose from the dead. It is truly an Easter miracle! I am so amazed by God.
I'm also amazed by my beautiful children. This was Rowan's first Easter and she turned 5 months old on the same day.
Such a sweet girl! It will be fun to see how she reacts to Easter next year, much like it was fun to watch Hudson's reaction this year. Rowan didn't seem to care about her new books, zebra pull toy, or zebra egg, but Hudson was all over his basket! He loved pulling everything out and immediately wanted to watch his new Baby Einstein DVDs. He came running up to me in the middle of taking a picture waving the DVD about furiously. He is enamored with the music and puppet shows!
How precious is her Easter outfit! I love it!!
